Absences

Thanks to parent co-operation we have little or no concern with truancy.
When your child is away from school please ALWAYS ring the school office on 489 7216 by 9.00 a.m. on EACH day of absence. Parents are also able to notify the office of absences via the school website. Please leave a message on the answer machine stating the child’s name, room number and the reason for absence.
If your child has an appointment to attend during school hours please pick them up from the office (Shakespeare Road) and sign them out on the register provided. Parents should also provide a note regarding the absence for record purposes.
Parents are discouraged from taking children on holidays during the school term as it is reasonable to expect you to arrange trips away during the school holiday periods.
 If your child arrives at school after 8.55am they will be late to school. Please have them report to the office before going to the classroom to collect a "Late Pass" to be given to their teacher.
