Cluster Cross Country

The Pupuke Cluster Cross Country is held at Killarney Park, Takapuna each year in Term 3 for selected Year 4-6 students . 24 students (4 students from each gender and year level) are selected to represent Milford School against our fellow Cluster schools: St Joseph’s, Takapuna & Forrest Hill.

Year 4 students run 2 laps of Killarney Park and Year 5/ students run 3 laps. It involves flat and then bumpy surfaces, as well as some downhill running, then finishing with a steep hill at the end of each lap.

We require transport and assistance on the day; a Google Form is sent to the families of selected students to collect details for the group to attend with the sufficient ratios and transportation.

The students run in their school sports t-shirt and may wear sports shorts of their choice; they need a school uniform t-shirt to change into after their race. We stipulate that the children must wear sneakers, as the ground may have sharp twigs or other objects that could hurt the runners’ feet. Please also ensure that your child has a healthy morning tea, lunch with a full water bottle, and any necessary medication.
